Exorcism (2024)

Featured in the Praxis Graduate Exhibit at Umbrella Gallery Cardiff in 2024 'Exorcism' is a piece about gender, trauma, memory and identity.

A video shows a dress being surgically unpicked, dissected and torn apart by gloved hands, but in front of the screen the material is remade in a new form, web-like and interwoven with new threads. The viewer must look through gaps in what the dress became, to see the process of tearing it down and reflect on rebuilding from trauma and building identity.
