A small wooden pillar about 2 feet tall stands in a Bournemouth park amongst wet fallen leaves and dense grass. The pillar is a piece of raw wood a few inches wide with the bark still attached, but a winding inch wide channel has been carved into the bark through to the wood underneath exposing the deep orange edges of the underlayers of bark and the pale wood below. Carved eyes peer out from the exposed wood, and every knot on the bark has been accentuated by carving around it to create more eyes.

In the mossy crook of a tree that has split into two trunks, sits a piece of deep red brown wood carved into the shape of an eye with wrinkled skin around it like it is very old and wise. water drips from the tree onto the varnished wood of the eye and makes it look wet and shiny.

The base of a tree on a raised grassy hillock, the tree splits around the hillock into two large roots and tucked into the crook between those roots is a deep brown piece of bark wood that has been carved and sanded into a soft curving shape that allows you to see all the layers of the bark, it is varnished and slightly shiny and damp from the mossy tree and damp grass.

The base of tree filled with ruts and hollows where the tops of its root systems are exposed above the ground. In one hollow and piece of red bark wood is wedged. The wood has been carved with a curling abstract pattern that shows the layers of the bark and almost looks like the imprints of spiral shells. The wood has only been varnished where it is carved so these areas shine and catch the light slightly.
